Can you believe this? My little baby girl, Aimee, turned 11 last Wednesday. Time just flies (and too quickly)!!
I had a very busy weekend trying to get cupcakes and party bags ready for the birthday party on Sunday. According to my daughter it was the greatest party ever!! They all had fun and my preparations were worth it. ^_^
Although the birthday and the party are now over, I thought I should still share some crafty creations I made for this event. Today, I will show you the birthday card first.
Cupcakes are a must for birthdays these days. Don't those cupcakes look yummy?! The image is coloured by using Copic Ciao marker pens. The background cupcake pattern paper was two strips of offcuts from my snippets box. Then, I used "red ladder" washi tape to cover the joint. The scalloped oval shaped die cut is also a piece which was left over from making the invitations. All these bits and pieces of "scrap" just come in handy sometimes. I will be happily bringing this card with me to Pixies Snippets Playground - Week 111.
Here are the views from the side and close up.
To create some shine and interest, crystal Stickles is added to the image and blue Liquid Pearls is added around the scalloped oval shape.
For this card I have used the sketch from Seize the Sketch #13. If you are interested in having a go, here is the sketch. I have turned the sketch 90 degrees to the left for my card.
I will be back soon to share some other items I made for Aimee's birthday. Have a nice evening!
Great take on that sketch!
ReplyDeleteYour image is lovely and I really like the doily off centered and the added sparkle of the bling arranged on it!
Fabulous card! I love the connection between the doily and those lovely cupcakes - such a pretty card too!
