Recently we have been busy attending various secondary school open days, trying to choose next year's school for my daughter. I just can't believe my baby girl Aimee is going to "BIG" school next year!! Gosh! Time really flies!
Now it's about time that I picked up on the blogging and share some cards again!
My youngest daughter Jasmine went to a birthday party last Sunday. So I made this card for her friend Maleekah. I love to include the recipient's name on a card, it just makes the card that extra special and unique!
I know this Magnolia Fairytale - Ballerina Tilda stamp is an old stamp but I haven't used it for a long time. But, to be honest, which little girl wouldn't like a cute ballerina image on their birthday card. I thought it would be the perfect image and another chance to bring this stamp back to life again. Here is a side shot of the card:
The backing paper is from Dovercraft- Princess Fairy tale 6"x 6" paper pack. Just love this sweet paper and, of course, you can't have a birthday without some banners or buntings.
A closer shot of the main image.
I've coloured Tilda with Copic marker pens and paper piecing the dress. The card is not complete without adding some bling, hence, the gem stones on the top left hand corner and Stickles glitter glue applied all over! I think this card is fit for a sweet birthday girl and I really love it. Hope you do to! ^_^
I will be entering this card in the following three challenges:
- Daring Cardmakers : Birthday Buntings and Banners
- Tilda's Town: Challenge #74 Stitching - I've used faux stitching around the card and recipient's name.
- Simon Says: Use a Rubber or a Clear Stamp - I've used Magnolia Fairytale - Ballerina Tilda rubber stamp.
A fabulous card Julie, a lovely design and such pretty colours. Tilda is adorable and gorgeous details!!!
