For my Valentine!

Hello!

How's your Saturday so far?! It was such a windy and rainy night, last night. I was worried that my roof might get blown away! ^_^ This morning the wind continued to blow hard and strong. One of our back fence panel has finally came down. Not good! :'( Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day yesterday. For those who are Chinese, or Taiwanese like me, I hope you also enjoyed the Lantern Festival yesterday and hope you all had those yummy sticky rice balls!!

So I am here today to share the Valentine's card that I made for my husband yesterday.

I thought of the card game that my daughters play sometimes. You have to shout out "Snap!" when you saw the same matching cards that have been turned over. (Is this card game just called 'Snap'?) It is quite exciting to play. The main fire on the log stamp image is from Lawn Fawn's Cosy Christmas set. The two little hearts above the cute fire is from Lawn Fawn's Making Frosty Friends. It just shows that Christmas stamp sets are not just for Christmas. I then created a simple border on the top and bottom of the card by using the hollow and solid heart stamps from Summertime Charm set, also from Lawn Fawn. Sentiments are created by using the studio g- Alphabet Stamp set  Series 1, cART-Us clear alphabet stamps and Stampendous!- a la Mode Alphabet. Finally just added crystal Stickle glue on those small hearts for some shine.

Here are some more photos of the card.

I am not sure if this card is masculine enough for males but hey it's Valentine's day! It's got to have some sort of reddish colour, hearts and the feel of lovey dovey in it, right?! ^_^

Oh! Just to mention that we, in the UK, are so lucky to have an internet shop called Make The Day Special. They stock and sell all famous U.S. brand stamps, dies and craft supplies, like Lawn Fawn, CAS-ual Fridays, Mama Elephant, Paper Smooches etc. If you also love these hard to purchase U.S. brands then you must check it out! Make the Day Special is currently running a romantic theme competition. You still have time to join, just enter it by tomorrow the 16th on their Facebook site. That is where I am going next!

Hope you have a nice weekend and I promise I will be back to share my daughter's birthday invitation and party goodies soon.
