Bunny Love

Hi blog friends!

I hope your weekend is as good as mine. I think spring has finally arrived in the UK. At least we are now constantly above the 10 degrees Celsius line and the sun has been shinning all weekend. Still a bit chilly but I was in such a good mood and made this spring feel card:

This Somebunny to Love stamp set came free with Quick Cards Made Easy magazine issue 111. It is designed by Michael Adams and I had fun colouring in this image. Here is another photo of the card from the side:

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday: Week #255. This sketch is easy to follow.

I've also used this week's colour combo at The Play Date Cafe: Hot Pink, Shadow and Lightning Yellow.  Quite often I use pink and yellow together but never with shadow grey. It sure is a very nice combination!

I am also entering this card to the Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog: By using buttons, a bow and polka dots paper on my card.

Last but not least, I am joining in at the Craft your passion challenges #158: Adorable Animals. You will have to agree that this bunny rabbit is just so cute!!

Oh~ forgot to say, here is a close up photo of the adorable bunny:

I used Stickles and 3D Crystal Lacquer to highlight the flowers, the bow on her head, nose and the heart bracelet. I truly enjoyed making this card. The card certainly reflects the spring weather we've been having these days! ^_^

Wish you all a great start to the week on Monday~

I've made my own...

Chevron paper!

Hi there~

Now that is a first!

When I saw this week's challenge- CFC97: Chevrons & Flowers on CAS-ual Fridays blog, I knew that would be a real challenge. Not only because I am not very good at creating a Clean and Simple card but most of all I do not have any chevron stamps or papers. Then I seem to remember that you can make your own chevron borders or background papers and I found this tutorial on YouTube. By using strips of papers and clever sticking and cutting, "ta-da" I've made my very own first chevron pattern paper! free smileys Here is my card:

The large 3D paper flower is made specially for this card to match the chevron colours. A short strip of organza ribbon and a meadow leaf die cut shape from Poppystamps, inc. are added to the card. Here is a closer look of the flower and chevron paper:

I am quite pleased with my first attempt at making chevron pattern. I am sure chevrons will appear on my cards often now! ^_^

I hope you all have a good start to the week!

Big Hugs

Hello again~

Sorry that I disappeared for about a month and a half. I was on a great, big, huge project (well, for me that is!!) This project is not finished yet and it will go on for a while. However, the main part of it is complete, so I shall now be back to my regular blogging!! Sorry for the teasing as I cannot give much detail about this project, but I promise I will keep you updated with it! free smileys

I have not been able to participate in some of the challenge blogs for a while, so as soon as I saw this sketch on Tuesday Morning Sketches #192 I just had to have a go.

And here is my take:

The stamp image is from Kanban's Little Friends - TLC set. Isn't she cute? I have used Copic marker pens to colour the image and paper pieced her dress. Then used Spellbinders- Nestabilities Labels Nineteen die to die cut the image.  In this clear stamp set, there is this stamp which is a row of "xxxxxxxxxx" kisses, I guess. But I thought it looked good to use around the edge like faux stitches. I have also added glitter glue Stickles on the flowers, just to make them shine! Here is a closer look of the image:

This is a birthday card for my good friend Erin's little girl. I hope she likes it as I am quite fond of this sweet card myself! celebrity fashion gallery

I am also entering this card in the two challenges below:
That's it for now! I will be back soon to share some more card creations. Enjoy the rest of your weekend~
