1st Christmas Card for 2013

Hello Blog Friends,

I am here to share my first Christmas card for this year. I am never organised when it comes to Christmas cards. I am always rushing. The person who is still making cards at the last minute will be me! Maybe it will be different this year? ^_^

So here is the card I made this weekend. Starting simple for my 1st Christmas card.

The colour pallet at 10 minute craft dash challenge #28 inspired me to make this card. These colours just reminded me of Christmas.
Colors: Lipstick Red, Turquoise, Olive Green

I've punched out a circle shape from white card and embossed it by using Cuttlebug- Snowflakes embossing folder. I recently bought a big bag of red and green buttons and did think it might come in handy when making Christmas cards. Buttons were stuck around the circle and a turquoise bow attached at the bottom to make a cute wreath. Finally, I curved and stamped my clear sentiment stamp to echo the round shape and applied Stickles glitter glue on the snowflakes. All this took me 8 minuets 50 seconds!  I am well impressed!! ^^

Here is a close up look of the wreath.

I am also entering this card to:
When it comes to Clean and Simple (CAS) cards, I am never quite sure about them. I guess I really have to learn to like and get used to the white spaces!!

Hope you all had a very nice weekend!

A Birthday Card for a Girl

Hello there~

Recently we have been busy attending various secondary school open days, trying to choose next year's school for my daughter. I just can't believe my baby girl Aimee is going to "BIG" school next year!!  Gosh! Time really flies!

Now it's about time that I picked up on the blogging and share some cards again!

My youngest daughter Jasmine went to a birthday party last Sunday. So I made this card for her friend Maleekah. I love to include the recipient's name on a card, it just makes the card that extra special and unique!

I know this Magnolia Fairytale - Ballerina Tilda stamp is an old stamp but I haven't used it for a long time. But, to be honest, which little girl wouldn't like a cute ballerina image on their birthday card. I thought it would be the perfect image and another chance to bring this stamp back to life again. Here is a side shot of the card:

The backing paper is from Dovercraft- Princess Fairy tale 6"x 6" paper pack. Just love this sweet paper and, of course, you can't have a birthday without some banners or buntings.

A closer shot of the main image.

I've coloured Tilda with Copic marker pens and paper piecing the dress. The card is not complete without adding some bling, hence, the gem stones on the top left hand corner and Stickles glitter glue applied all over! I think this card is fit for a sweet birthday girl and I really love it. Hope you do to! ^_^

I will be entering this card in the following three challenges:
Hope to see you soon again!
